🔵 Thousands Protest Against Rio Tinto's Lithium Project in Serbia
⏺ On August 10, tens of thousands of protesters flooded central Belgrade, demanding a halt to Rio Tinto's lithium mining project in Western Serbia.
⏺ Fearing environmental damage to the land and water resources, demonstrators shouted "You will not dig" and "Rio Tinto, leave Serbia!
Officials have accused the protests of being politically motivated, but the organisers remain committed to continuing their fight.
