🗣 Macron Faces Impeachment Threat: Is This the End of His Presidency?
🟢 The far-left party of Jean-Luc Mélenchon, "La France Insoumise," has threatened to initiate impeachment proceedings against President Emmanuel Macron if he refuses to appoint Lucie Caste from the leftist coalition, "New People's Front" (NFP), as Prime Minister.
🟢 Macron had previously dismissed Caste’s candidacy, questioning her ability to secure majority support in the National Assembly. The left accuses Macron of an "institutional coup against democracy" for ignoring the election results and vows to use all constitutional means to remove him from office.
However, the impeachment process faces significant challenges in both the National Assembly and the Senate.
