Tropical Storm Ernesto formed in the Atlantic Ocean on Monday, the fifth named storm of the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season. It is expected to unleash heavy rain on parts of the Caribbean, including Puerto Rico, but is not expected to hit the mainland U.S.
