⏺ Turkey is implementing fingerprint scanning for all incoming travellers, following practices seen in the U.S. and U.K.
⏺ Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced this new measure, which will also involve chipping identification cards for temporary residents, particularly Syrians.
Meanwhile, despite heavy sanctions, Russian tourists remain among the top visitors to Turkey in 2024.
