The World Health Organisation (WHO) has declared Mpox, formerly known as Monkeypox, a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC). In Nigeria, the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 39 Mpox cases across 33 states, including the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
