🗣Sokoto Traditional Ruler Still in Captivity After 22 Days
The traditional ruler of the Gobir Kingdom, Alhaji Isah Muhammad Bawa, remains in captivity 22 days after gunmen abducted him and his son in Sokoto. The kidnappers initially demanded a ransom of ₦900 million, later reduced to ₦500 million.
Authorities are under pressure to secure their release as local residents express growing concern over the worsening security situation in the region.
