The traditional ruler of the Gobir Kingdom, Alhaji Isah Muhammad Bawa, remains in captivity 22 days after gunmen abducted him and his son in Sokoto. The kidnappers initially demanded a ransom of âĻ900 million, later reduced to âĻ500 million.
