Dear Sir/Madam,
𝗘𝗡𝗩𝗜𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗟 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗦 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗥𝗘𝗚𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗬 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗜𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘
We, the Agunbe Descendants Union, Ikirun, are writing to bring to your attention the pressing environmental concerns caused by the operations of Prism Steel Mills in our community. Despite our previous appeals, the severe air pollution persists, posing significant health risks to our residents.
The Union is committed to supporting sustainable industrial development that benefits both the company and the community. However, we cannot compromise on the well-being of our people and the environment. We urge you to take immediate action to address these concerns.
𝙎𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮, 𝙬𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙦𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪:
1. Implement effective pollution control measures to reduce harmful emissions.
2. Enhance infrastructure to minimize environmental impact.
3. Conduct regular environmental monitoring and share data with the community.
4. Invest in local development initiatives to benefit the community.
5. Provide documentation proving compliance with international environmental standards (ISO 14001) within two months.
Failure to address these concerns or provide the requested documentation may lead to demands for temporary suspension of operations.
We believe that Prism Steel Mills can set a precedent for responsible industrial practices in our region. We look forward to your prompt response and commitment to environmental sustainability.
