Diablo 4's Season 11 is shaping up to be a huge moment for Rogue players, with the class climbing back to the top thanks to major changes to Death Trap and several long-awaited improvements to energy flow and mobility. On the PTR, Death Trap's new cooldown behavior—dropping its timer by 15% every time you land a crit—lets Rogues fire off trap combos far more often than before. Combine that with the usual Rogue burst tools, and the class suddenly feels fast, lethal, and capable of climbing deep into Pit 120+ and Tower levels that used to demand far heavier investment Diablo 4 Items

Death Trap in particular has become the centerpiece of the class. With crits constantly knocking time off its cooldown, the skill plays like a reset engine for the entire kit. Players are pairing it with Band of Icarus Rose for huge screen-wide bursts, often overshadowing the Dance of Knives builds that dominated Season 10. Shadowstep into trap placements has become a staple move, especially with elites dragged into the blast radius for Heartseeker follow-ups supported by new +Core skill ranks from Season 11's item pool.

Flurry also holds its place as a leveling favorite, easily pivoting into endgame with Poison Trap variants that keep energy topped up on Vulnerable procs. The setups require a bit of bar management, but once you get used to the rhythm, the rotation feels smooth and explosive in Helltides, Pits, and everywhere in between.

Heartseeker builds in particular look set for a major comeback. PTR players are already posting videos of boss fights where Orphan Maker and other damage multipliers push Heartseeker into the trillion-damage range. Strengthened Tempering options—especially Dexterity and cooldown rolls—open the door for hybrid versions that swap between Forceful Arrow for trash clearing and Death Trap for elite packs. Even without top-tier gear, players are clearing high-level Pits by chaining Vulnerable windows and letting the trap resets do the heavy lifting.

Penetrating Shot setups remain strong too, especially now that pierce buffs and new Mythic affixes encourage players to shoot through entire packs and trigger small explosions on Vulnerable enemies. Rogue's Imbuements gain more depth this season, with Shadow Imbue crits stacking big multipliers that follow you through Shadowstep teleports. The mobility makes a huge difference in dense Pit environments where dipping out of damage zones often means the difference between a clean run and a wipe

As for collecting the right gear, most players won't have to wait long. Death Trap-related drops appear in Grigoire invasions and from Tower progression, and Season 11's rituals allow imprinting the power onto Legendaries for more flexible setups. Many of the recommended uniques, like Tassets, drop for all classes, meaning you don't need to struggle through class-specific RNG.

Season 11 ultimately marks a real resurgence for the class. Between frequent Death Trap resets, Heartseeker's renewed punch, and the overall smoother feel of the rotation, Rogue finally gets the mobility-focused, high-precision playstyle it's always been meant to have cheap diablo 4 gear. As launch approaches, players who enjoy fast, tactical combat are already preparing to step into the shadows and carve their way through Sanctuary with confidence.
