Arc Raiders Guide to Strategy: Loadouts and Combat Tips, Best Routes for Bombardier Cell Farms

Bombardier Cells and buy arc raiders weapons, Where are the Elite ARCs? What weapons should you carry? How can you safely loot? This guide will answer all your questions.

Bombardier Cells rank among Arc Raiders' most desired items. It's no surprise that without these resources, you will not be able to upgrade your base anytime soon. Where can you find Elite Bombardier Arcs? How do you defeat them? And what do you do with their loot then you get it back? This comprehensive guide will walk you through every step.

Bombardier Cells - Why they are so important arc raiders shop

Bombardier Cells are only dropped by the Elite ARC unit with the same name. These rare resources are essential for upgrading your refinery level 3 above all.

You'll need the following to upgrade:

 6x Bombardier Cells

 3x Motor

 10x ARC Circuitry

If you don't need the cells for upgrades, there are two options: sell them at 5,000 Credits each or recycle them into 2x ARC Alloy and 2x Advanced Mechanical Components per cell. You can sell the cells if you do not need them to upgrade, or you can recycle them. Each cell will yield 2x ARC alloy and 2x Advanced mechanical components.

Bombardier locations: where to find them

Theoretically, Bombardiers could spawn on any map. However, the odds vary greatly. The Blue Gate and Buried City are the best places to spawn. The key spawn points are listed below in more detail.

Buried City is your first choice

Buried City is the best place to spawn Bombardiers in the game. Check out these spots:

Marano Park has the most spawn points. Here, you'll most likely run into a Bombardier. This park is very open, with little shade. Plan your escape routes ahead of time.

Plaza Rosa and Santa Maria Houses also serve as reliable spawn points. Apartment buildings provide a variety of cover during a fight.

Bombardiers visit the hospital's exterior less frequently, but because of the layout of the buildings, the area is tactically interesting.

If a Bombardier appears in the parking garage, you will be able to take it out with ease if you use the right tactics.

The Blue Gate is a solid alternative

Bombardiers are also regularly found at The Blue Gate. However, the terrain there is much more open.

The Raider's Refuge is located in a moderately covered wooded area. You need to be on the lookout for other players.

You can hide in the warehouses of the industrial zone.

Bombardiers are spawned at the checkpoint in a fortified zone - convenient but often highly contested.

It's harder to safely reach the ruins on the cliff.

 Spaceport - Medium odds

Bombardiers are less common at the Spaceport than in Buried city.

One potential spawning point is located between the two buildings near the West Elevator. It also provides decent cover.

Shipping Yard is a very exposed exterior. You'll be vulnerable to other players.

Dam Battlegrounds is rare, but possible

Bombardiers occasionally spawn north of the Hydroponic Dome. However, this map has the lowest Elite Arc spawn rate overall.

Our tip: Pay attention to Buried City and especially Marano Park, Plaza Rosa, and Plaza Rosa. There are the best chances and you can quickly rotate between spawn points.

 The best loadout is prepared.

The Bombardier is not your average ARC. It's actually one of the most deadly enemies in the entire game. You can defeat it alone if you have the right equipment. What you will need to bring is:

 Armor penetration cannot be negotiated.

The armor of the Bombardier is heavy. They will be barely hurt by weapons that do not penetrate their ARC armor. Prioritise these options:

If you have the money, then Hullcracker will be your best choice. It is the best in-game armor penetration and tears huge holes in Bombardier's armor. You can buy it for 15,000 credits per day from Tian Wen (maximum of one unit per day) or you can craft it with the blueprint.

Ferro is a budget-friendly option. It can be crafted at the weaponsmith or workbench, and has a solid penetration. You can take down a Bombardier with roughly 160 rounds (on weak spots).

The Anvil provides a good compromise. Tian Wen will sell up to three of these per day for 15,000 Credits. It is more flexible because it fires six shots instead of one, as the Ferro does.

Rattler and Bettina are also effective, but less so than the above weapons.

Metal parts and chemicals can be used to make Heavy Ammo at the Workbench.

 Explosives, your most important tool

The Bombardier battles are where the real heat is: grenades. They are extremely vulnerable to explosives because of their slow movement and large hitbox. At least six grenades are required.

The Wolfpack grenades were designed for ARC and do devastating damage. Few Wolfpacks, if placed correctly, can be enough to kill a Bombardier.

The trigger grenades have a precise and powerful power. The recipe is available through the quest "Sparks Fly". You can place the explosives first and then manually detonate them.

Blaze grenades ignite Bombardier's weak points and deal with area damage. The Bombardier often remains in the flames, taking constant damage.

Snap grenades can be thrown more easily than Trigger grenades, but still cause a lot of damage. All-rounder.

Combining 1-2 Wolfpacks and 3-4 Snap or Trigger Grenades is a good tip. This is usually enough to soften up the Bombardier, before switching to your primary weapon.

Healing and Support: How to Survive the Fight

The projectiles of the Bombardier are hard-hitting and accurate. Your run will end quickly if you don't have enough healing. Pack the following:

Your first line of defence is 10x Shield Chargers. You'll need backups as a Bombardier can break a shield with a single strike.

10x Bandages (or 6x Sterilized Bandages) keep your health up. Vita Shots are also effective, but more expensive.

Three to four Adrenaline shots will restore stamina and boost regeneration for a short time. Ideal for when you have to leave cover, or chain additional dodge rolls.

After the kill, 3x smoke grenades will be essential to loot. Smoke will keep you safe from other players while you search for all the pieces.

 Gear: Right augment and shield

If you have it, the Looting MK.2 is a must. The Looting MK.2 augment gives you two pockets which can hold three Bombardier Cells each - a total of six cells. These pockets will not be lost if you are killed before you can extract the items.

You should at least use a medium shield. The light shield can only withstand one Bombardier shot; the medium shield can withstand two or three. The Tactical MK.2 is another useful augment: it will automatically fire a smoke bomb when your shield breaks.

We have a tip for solo players. Start the raid by putting two Wolfpacks into your safe pocket. You should only pull them out once you have engaged a Bombardier. You won't have to worry about losing them if your run ends earlier.
