Season 2 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone is scheduled to launch on January 28, 2025, at 10 AM PT, on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PC (Steam and Battle.net), and Xbox Series X/S. 

This release aligns with the established update schedule seen in previous seasons and CoD games. Players will need to download update files for the Call of Duty app – home to all franchise titles – on their respective platforms. These files will include the latest content additions, gameplay adjustments, and enhancements specific to Season 2.

Season 2 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone is set to introduce a host of content, including the standard seasonal additions like a new Battle Pass, fresh weapons, maps, and various cosmetic items. However, this season will emphasize significant improvements in both games' functioning, alongside crucial server and anti-cheat updates.

These enhancements aim to address widespread complaints from Season 1, particularly regarding issues in Ranked Play mode for both games. Developers are prioritizing a smoother gaming experience by tackling performance concerns and reinforcing measures against cheaters to create a more balanced and fair environment.

In Season 2, Call of Duty is introducing new features and updates to enhance the competitive experience in Black Ops 6 and Warzone Ranked Play. Console players will gain the ability to disable cross-play bo6 cp, allowing them to compete exclusively against other console players in Ranked matches. This change offers greater control over matchmaking preferences and will be available throughout Season 2.

A new “Vote to Forfeit” feature will also debut, enabling teams to collectively decide whether to end a Ranked match early. This option is designed for situations like overwhelming losses or when a teammate disconnects. Forfeiting a match will be recorded as a loss, but it will not result in Skill Rating (SR) penalties or player suspensions. Additionally, a “Rejoin” option will be introduced later in the season, giving disconnected players an opportunity to return to matches and maintain full teams.
