The Season 2 Reloaded update for Black Ops 6 is now live, bringing a hefty dose of new content, some bug fixes, and a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover event to the game. However, be prepared for a significant download size, with some players reporting updates ranging from 61GB to over 100GB depending on their platform and existing game files. The reason for the large file size remains unclear, but data miners are actively investigating the game files to uncover the cause.

One of the immediate highlights of the update is the introduction of the Cowabunga Cranked mode, although the full TMNT event, complete with an event pass and the Master Splinter operator skin, will launch next week on February 27th. In the meantime, players can dive into the Armory unlocks to acquire four new DLC weapons: the Katana, Bow Staff, Sai, and Nunchucks. These weapons can be unlocked by completing challenges, requiring a substantial 250,000 XP per weapon. A convenient option is available to test out these weapons in a private match before committing to unlocking them.

For those who prefer instant gratification, the update also introduces individual Ninja Turtle operator bundles, each priced at 2,400 COD points. Each bundle includes a unique operator skin (Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, or Raphael), along with weapon blueprints themed around the respective Turtle's signature weapon. These blueprints not only offer distinct visual styles but also unlock the base version of the weapon, bypassing the need for XP grinding. Each bundle also features unique tracers, death effects, weapon charms, emotes, finishing moves, calling cards, decals, and emblems.

Unfortunately, the update wasn't without its initial hiccups. Players reported issues with crossplay settings in Ranked Play, and Zombies mode experienced crashes when pausing a match. Additionally, Citadel Drill Oil Trap kills temporarily did not count as critical kills. The developers have acknowledged these issues and are working on fixes. A previously announced change to limit repeated Loadout drop access in Warzone after death has been reverted due to negative feedback.

Beyond the TMNT crossover and bug fixes, the update also includes a new Tracer Pack Tropical Glam bundle featuring a new operator skin for Alvarez called Vacation Vibes and a weapon blueprint for the AS 85 known as Neon Light. Several other operator skins, such as Scarlet Roads for Maya and Folia Brazilier for West Point, have been teased and are expected to arrive in the store soon.
