Office of the Special Assistant on Education Matters
To Hon. Olusoji Abidemi Adetunji, MHR
Representing Ifelodun/Boripe/Odo-Otin Federal Constituency
Date: 30th June 2025
Subject: Official Visit to Ikirun Health Tech and Engagement with Scholarship Beneficiaries
In fulfillment of my duties as the Special Assistant on Education Matters to Hon. Olusoji Abidemi Adetunji, MHR, I had the privilege of visiting the Ikirun School of Health Technology today, located within our great Ifelodun Local Government Area.
During the visit, I engaged with the management and students of the institution, particularly those who are beneficiaries of the scholarship programs facilitated by our principal, Hon. Olusoji Abidemi Adetunji. I used the opportunity to commend the students for their creativity, discipline, and dedication to academic excellence—qualities that continue to make Ifelodun Local Government proud.
I reminded the scholarship recipients that this opportunity is not just financial support but also a political dividend that reflects the commitment of our representative to educational development. I encouraged them to work hard and maintain good academic standing, as future support and recommendations from Hon. MHR will be influenced by their performance and the feedback from their institution.
The atmosphere was filled with joy and gratitude from both the students and staff. I assured them that with continued hard work and dedication, this investment in their education will yield great results and impact in the years to come.
Furthermore, I shared with the students that the privilege I enjoy today as the Special Assistant on Education Matters came as a result of the education I received. Without education, such an opportunity would not have been possible. I urged them to remain focused and committed to their studies.
As a reminder of our faith and a source of motivation, I quoted from the Holy Qur’an, Surah Al-Mujadila (58:11):
"يَرْفَعِ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنكُمْ وَالَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ دَرَجَاتٍ ۚ"
"Allah will raise those who have believed among you and those who were given knowledge, by degrees."
This verse reminds us that knowledge is a noble pursuit, honored by Allah (SWT), and it is through knowledge that many doors of opportunity are opened in this world and the hereafter.
I also echoed the words of respected brothers in Islam during the visit, who reminded the students:
"Im (knowledge) is light, and with light comes clarity, direction, and progress. If you seek knowledge sincerely, Allah will make your path to success easy."
I concluded the visit with heartfelt prayers for the students, the school, and our community at large. May their efforts yield success and may the name of Ikirun and Ifelodun Local Government continue to shine across Osun State and Nigeria.
God bless Ikirun.
God bless Ifelodun.
God bless Osun State.
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Signed,
Hon. Comrade Hammed Hammed Oluwatobi
