Empowering the Future: The Career Talk Initiative in Ifelodun

Dear esteemed people of Ifelodun,

Under the visionary leadership of Hon. Olusoji Abidemi Adetunji, MHR, I, Hon. Comrade Hammed Hammed Oluwatobi, SA on Education Matters, have taken a bold step in addressing the crucial issue of career choices for our students in Ifelodun Local Government. This initiative, which commenced in Obagun, is not just a mere gathering but a strategic movement aimed at securing a brighter future for our children.

Education remains the foundation of progress, and Hon. Olusoji Abidemi Adetunji stands as a living testimony. If he had not chosen the right career path and pursued education, he would not have had the opportunity to serve as our representative today. His educative lineage has tremendously contributed to the growth of Ifelodun, and this is why we must all embrace education as the greatest legacy we can give to our children.

During this Career Talk Initiative, we engaged with students from Community Secondary School Obagun, St. Michael Primary School, and NUD Primary School Obagun. I made it clear to them that education is the most powerful tool for success, as Hon. Olusoji Abidemi Adetunji always emphasizes. Our goal is to inspire them to dream big, work hard, and make informed career choices that will uplift them and our beloved local government.

To further solidify this mission, I had the privilege of meeting with the Chief Imam of Obagun, who assured us of his support in emphasizing the Islamic value of education to the students and the larger community. Islam, as a faith, places great emphasis on knowledge, and we are determined to ensure that no child in Ifelodun is left behind.

In the same spirit, we proceeded to the Palace of Olobaogun, where we engaged with our revered traditional leader on the importance of education in Ifelodun. Our royal fathers play a crucial role in shaping the values of our people, and we are grateful for their unwavering support in promoting quality education.

This entire effort is being carried out under the umbrella of Hon. Olusoji Abidemi Adetunji, MHR, with the solid backing of Hon. Oseni Muhammed (Emirate), Chairman on Education Matters in Ifelodun Local Government. The issuance of invitation letters to schools and the enthusiastic response from stakeholders reaffirm that this initiative is a step in the right direction.

I want to assure the good people of Ifelodun that this movement is not in vain. It is a mission to build a future where education is the pride of our land, where every child is empowered to achieve greatness, and where Ifelodun remains a beacon of progress.

Together, we shall continue to champion this cause, ensuring that education remains a top priority in our great local government.
